On 16 June 2026 its investment management arm launched the State Street Stablecoin Reserves Money Market Fund, a Rule 2a-7 government fund designed to qualify as stablecoin reserve under the GENIUS Act, with State Street Bank and Trust and Anchorage Digital among initial investors, an attempt to make the reserve leg of stablecoin issuance a registered fund rather than a bilateral deposit or repo book.
