Its delegation programme stakes SOL to validators that hold acceptable testnet performance in at least five of the last ten epochs, matching stake raised from other sources at a ratio of 0.5 and covering vote costs on a schedule that tapers from 100% to zero over a validator's first twelve months, which lowers the capital barrier to becoming a block producer. Because Solana carries a large share of tokenised fund and stablecoin distribution (Franklin Templeton's Benji, Apollo's ACRED, Backed's xStocks and OnRe's ONyc among them), the Foundation's stake allocation and its handling of protocol proposals such as Alpenglow bear on the settlement assurances those instruments inherit.
