The profile

A British retail and commercial banking group formed in 2009 when Lloyds TSB acquired HBOS, with Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland among its brands. It appears on this beat through wholesale payments rather than retail: in Project Agora's real-value testing it completed three live tokenized deposit transactions, one of which combined foreign exchange conversion, payment and settlement into a single step. That is the significant part for a bank of its kind, because correspondent banking revenue depends on those being separate steps with float and fees between them.
