The profile
London-headquartered manager formed in May 2017 from the merger of Janus Capital, founded in 1969, and Henderson Global Investors, founded in 1934, listed on the New York Stock Exchange as JHG and reporting $480bn under management at 31 March 2026; a take-private by Trian Fund Management and General Catalyst was approved by shareholders in April 2026 and expected to close in mid-2026. Its AAA CLO ETF (JAAA), launched on NYSE Arca on 16 October 2020 and holding $29.11bn across about 600 issues at 22 July 2026, made it the largest manager of AAA collateralised loan obligation exposure available in a listed wrapper. The same portfolio managers run the JAAA token issued through Centrifuge, seeded with $1bn from the Sky ecosystem through Grove, and the firm is sub-investment manager of SPXA, the first S&P 500 index fund token licensed by S&P Dow Jones Indices, which puts floating-rate senior corporate credit, rather than Treasury bills, onchain as collateral.
