The profile

Broadridge Financial Solutions was the Brokerage Services Group of Automatic Data Processing until it was spun off as a separate listed company on 30 March 2007, with fiscal 2006 revenue of $1.93bn. It sits behind rather than in front of the market: proxy voting and investor communications, securities processing, and post-trade infrastructure run for broker-dealers rather than for savers. Its own boilerplate puts the scale at more than 8 billion communications a year and a daily average of over $18 trillion of tokenized and traditional securities traded on its platforms, with roughly 16,000 staff in 28 countries. The tokenization business is Distributed Ledger Repo, which the company describes as using distributed ledger technology and smart contracts to automate the whole repo lifecycle, moving tokenized collateral between counterparties inside the trading and post-trade systems firms already run. DLR runs on Canton, the privacy-enabled network built for institutions that need their positions unseen by the rest of the chain, which is why the largest platform of its kind by stated volume is not on a public network. Broadridge publishes a volume figure every month, and those releases are the record this desk reads: an average of $354bn a day in March 2026, $368bn in April, $357bn in June and $365bn in July, against year-on-year growth rates the company reported at 392 per cent, 268 per cent, 68 per cent and 28 per cent over the same four months. Alongside repo it sells onchain proxy voting and governance, and digital asset infrastructure covering post-trade, wallets and custody.

Products and services

Distributed Ledger Repo
The platform that settles repurchase agreements on distributed ledger technology, moving tokenized collateral between counterparties without displacing the trading and post-trade systems the participants already use. Broadridge calls it the world's largest institutional platform for settling tokenized real assets.
Onchain proxy voting
The application of the group's proxy and investor communications business to tokenized share registers, so that holders of a tokenized security can vote it through the same infrastructure that serves conventional shareholders.
Securities processing
The post-trade processing, clearing support and books and records work Broadridge runs for broker-dealers, which is the conventional business the tokenized platforms are built to sit inside rather than replace.
